Yes, I love travel! Whether it is an hour trip to a neighboring city or a 5 hour flight away; my tank is filled with new experiences. Travel shows are a great way to learn more about new opportunities. Sure, you could mindlessly scroll online but how else will you learn about the best local pubs in town or where to get discounts without visiting 10+ sites? Simple, a Travel Show! These weekend long events are budget friendly, full of information and a great way experience the travel community. Here are the 5 reasons you need to attend a travel show:
1.) Giveaways
Who doesn’t like a “no strings attached” opportunity to win a $10,000 cruise? Yes, there are multiple giveaways throughout the weekend ranging from contests to swag. I’ve seen booths gather entries for small weekend getaways at a nearby state park and for 7 day vacation packages! What do you have to lose when you could win a 10 day Europe vacation for 2?
2.) Unique experiences
What if you could pay $12 and try out scuba diving? There are some travel shows that have a scuba diving experience on site! From zip lining to fun themed photo ops and even food tastings there are so many unique experiences to enjoy.

There are exclusive discounts available to attendees of these events. It’s a great opportunity to book that dream vacation at a lower rate and not have to skimp on your experience.
4.) Speakers
These travel shows aren’t just a bloated expo; they often double as a conference where you can learn all sorts of topics regarding travel. Thinking about visiting Asia but not sure where? I can learn from the professionals, who know their destination and vacation packages best, what adventure is ideal for me and my preferences; a lot of tailoring is available.
