Why Every Woman Should Attend An Auto Show

You are sitting at a dealership and the salesman is doing 1 of 2 things. 1- He is treating you like dirt because you are woman and a waste of his time. 2- He is trying to take advantage of you and make you pay nearly double the market price. Let’s face it! Women get taken advantage of in the auto industry; especially if you are young. It happens at an auto dealership, it happens at a repair shop and can even happen getting your oil changed. Young women are often perceived as ignorant to everything auto. I will admit I am no motor head nor do cars peak my…

Set Your Goals Up For Success

“Follow Your Dreams” “Never stop Dreaming” “Chase Your Dreams” do these sound both familiar and at the same time underwhelming? I know the feeling. I have pondered these quotes many times. What do these really mean? Follow your passion sure, but what is my passion? I have a dream but I really don’t know how to get there. Dreams are great but in reality they are thoughts. Without an action plan they will be nothing but fantasies. There are 4 keys to achieving your dreams : Vision, Goals, Deadlines and Finance. “Can you see it from here?” Having a vision is step one to making your dreams come true. A…

    Food, Family and Conflict

Although I enjoy the holiday season there is one thing that is unavoidable..FAMILY! Let’s face it you have been out of the house for some time and while you love your family meshing with a diverse set of personalities who are in close relation to you can…

    Tinder Date Turn Embarrassing

There was a time I looked to online dating to find Mr. Right. As it turns out no prince but a lot of stories to tell. There was a gentleman who had grabbed my attention long enough for a second date.  After having a pub meal the waitress came to ask if we were on one check or separate. I knew my date wasn’t the most financially stable and he unexpectedly drove 30 minutes out of town for B-Dubs. With this in mind I kindly suggested we split the bill. Without hesitation he gave a sigh of relief and lipped ‘thank you.’ When the waitress returned she tapped the check…

    The Voice VS. American Idol

I love to audition! It is the perfect reason to travel and meet new people. I have auditioned for The Voice and American Idol; you can click on the links for those audition processes. This is my comparison of the two experiences. Fox’s American Idol and NBC’s The Voice have very different audition processes. Both have open call auditions the general public can attend. Note that Simon Cowell was the producer for American Idol and does produce other reality talent competition show meaning the audition process may be similar. Registration: American Idol-is 2 days prior to open call audition. The crappy part is you had to give up 3-5 days…
