    Morning Struggles

As a kid I would beg my mom to let me stay up late. Now, I am excited to be in bed by 9pm. Mornings are a struggle for us non-early risers. I hit the snooze button at least 3 times. I read, somewhere online, the most successful people make the most of their time by starting early. I’m not a morning person but I am all about maximizing the time I do have. I can’t promise you will magically become a morning person but by implementing a few morning routines you will better your happy living and get a head start on daily career ambitions.   Get Excited Do…

    Arbonne After Day 30!

I did it! I completed the 30 Days to Healthy Living Challenge through Arbonne. There were times that were really hard and I had a melt down (or multiple) but I am so glad I stuck to it. Not only did I complete the full 30 days but I didn’t let myself down by quitting early. So the questions now are 1.) How was the program overall and 2.) Will I continue on this diet? 1.) How was the program overall? Overall I really liked the program. In previous posts I talked about the amazing support system and how tasty the shakes are. With all things there are positives and negatives…

    Arbonne Day 25!

5 more days to go and I am on my way to a healthy life style. Not much has changed except one major challenge; I came down with a sinus infection. Although eating healthy is helping my body my brain thinks otherwise. Here is how I survived the first few days. Cough Drops These are high in sugar; I have had 2 fillings done, at one time, due to sleeping with these in my mouth last winter. Although it pained me to have 4 in a 2 day period it was either that or cough a lung out. However after I had one I made sure to let the medicine sit…

    Arbonne Day 20!

Wow, time flies by fast. 2/3 of the way there and only 10 days to go. The best part about this coming to a conclusion is my vacation following 2 days after;  Wooohooo!  This week I started the 7 day cleanse and tried salmon for the first time. How was the salmon? Well this is how it went: My consultant suggested I wrap it in foil and bake it in the oven. I prepared a pan with foil to place the salmon on. I don’t like fish. Not the look, taste, smell or idea of it. This could be due to The Little Mermaid and her friend flounder but mostly…

    Arbonne Day 15!

Half way there and I am still chugging along. Today marks the first day of the 7 day cleanse product. I am a bit nervous knowing this product will help flush out the remaining toxins in my body but I am excited to see and feel the results once the last of this supplement is finished. This past week was better with the new recipes I incorporated into my diet however I did go out to eat…Yikes! I stayed on track and here is how I did it. My boyfriend wanted to treat me to a dinner out and I was petrified. I thought there is no way I will…

    Arbonne Day 10!

I’m 1/3 of the way there! Over coming my first weekend out with friends was hard but I stayed strong. What’s so amazing about Arbonne is the network they have to help you through your 30 days. My consultant added me to a community Facebook page not only to look to for support and inspiration but to get new recipe ideas. But was it enough to get through a night out? 11:00 am I met with a friend at the International Festival; I was so excited to be reunited with her! We walk into the building and instantly the aroma of food sweeps under my nose and I am beginning…

    Arbonne Day 5!

Already 1/6 of the way there. I will be honest I didn’t think I would last this long but here I am still going strong and excited to continue this journey. As part of the 30 days to fit challenge there are dietary restrictions including no gluten, dairy, and only grass fed beef; guess cheese burgers are out. Although this restriction can be hard I took it as an opportunity. I have not only used the tools Arbonne and my consultant provided me but I have also surfed the web for creative dishes. One dish I made for lunch was chicken and broccoli stir fry; yum! I had to modify…

    Arbonne Day 1!

Do you ever wake up and wish you could change something? Or do you workout, minimum 3 times a week, feel like you give it your all and see no results? I have been feeling like this for a while and after I decided to start the Bodyboss challenge I knew I would not be successful without eating right. For those of you who don’t know Bodyboss  is a circuit training program focused on toning. The issue with a program like Bodyboss is if you are not eating clean then the results will not be as great as anticipated. Because of my drive to be as successful with this fitness routine as…

Have You Never Seen a Girl Box?

So there I was in the gym at 6am boxing. As previously said I didn’t really start doing this until after college and I am no pro. I am just letting this bag have it. I had a tough week and needed to let it all out to start fresh. I don’t know what it is about the place I work out at but people feel the need to be friendly which don’t get me wrong it’s nice but don’t interrupt me while I’m in my zone. I am prepping for my next 3 minute round when this older shorter man comes walking toward me. He is on the track…

    Boxing; How it Started

As some of you know based off my Instagram I box as part of my workout routine. I didn’t actually start boxing cardio training until I was out of college but I do recall always having pinned up energy. I received my first pair of pink lace up gloves at age 5; mainly because my mom didn’t want me hurting myself punching the pillows all the time. I grew up with all boys so if I didn’t learn to be a little tough then I was out a playmate and let’s be honest hot wheels race tracks were slightly more entertaining than barbies. But like I said I didn’t start…
